I thought I’d share my daydream this Saturday afternoon. We all know the best games to attend are the divisional games, especially if they are in primetime. There’s nothing like 78,000 plus people screaming “the Bears still suck,” jeering those purple number 4 jerseys or the collective apathy towards Lions fans. So without further ado, here’s my 2020 Packers home, non-divisional opponents ranked only by my excitement.

There’s so many more…But I would also think about the upcoming season, the opponents, the games I’m most excited for.
Packers set to host Bears in primetime for 2022 home opener
GREEN BAY – The 2020 NFL schedule has the Packers opening the regular season at the Minnesota Vikings for the first time in franchise history and closing in Chicago, with five big primetime matchups along the way. It will be interesting to see the full 17-week schedule for a bigger-picture viewpoint of the schedule’s construction. The third home game of the season is Nov. 1 against the Minnesota Vikings. The team says they will have to evaluate the situation at the time and determine if fans will be allowed in the stadium for that game. If fans are allowed to return to the stadium this season, season ticket holders who opted-in will get information about how to get their tickets. Chicago finished and clinched the 7th and final playoff spot ahead of Arizona based on better win percentage in common games (against Detroit, the NY Giants, Carolina, and the LA Rams, Chicago finished 3–2, while Arizona finished 1–4).

For the first time in five years, the Packers will close the regular season against a team other than the Detroit Lions. The Packers will then host the Cleveland Browns in the Midwest Shrine Game the following week (Aug. 20-24) before traveling to face the New York Giants (Aug. 27-30). Beyond the divisional clashes, the road schedule looks especially challenging. Once again, I’m going to take the divisional games out of the mix. Like the home games, here’s are how I rank them, based only on my excitement for them. A daydream about games at Lambeau, the first time walking out of the concourse into the main bowl when I was no higher than my dad’s hip.
Nonetheless, based on last year’s records, the Packers’ schedule isn’t exceedingly difficult. Some other games that have been reported include Week 3 at New Orleans and Week 17 at Chicago. In Week 3, the Packers will play at the New Orleans Saintson Sunday night. According to the Star-Tribune’s Ben Goessling, the Packers will play at the Minnesota Vikings to kick off the season. I mean, I can’t image these guys going out there to play with no fans.
There’s nothing quite like attending a game at Lambeau. The next best thing would be attending a road game, maybe. After the Week 1 road trip to Minnesota, the Packers are slated to open Lambeau Field against the Detroit Lions on Sept. 20. It's the third straight year Green Bay has opened the season with back-to-back games against the NFC North.
For the eighth time in the last 10 years, the Packers will close the preseason against Kansas City, with a road game on either Sept. 3 or 4. The home games against Atlanta (Monday, Oct. 5) and Chicago (Sunday, Nov. 29) are set for prime time. Lambeau Field will host Notre Dame at Wisconsin on Oct. 3, meaning a short turnaround to get the stadium ready for the Falcons. The Packers clinched both their second consecutive playoff berth and NFC North title following a Week 14 win against the Lions and a Vikings loss to the Buccaneers the same day. With their victory over the Bears in Week 17, they earned home field advantage, a first round bye, and the No. 1 seed in the NFC playoffs.
